ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL WITH BOB CROWLEY

As I write this, only 34 days remain in this campaign season. Since announcing my candidacy for Rensselaer County Legislature, I have been out and about in East Greenbush, North Greenbush, and Poestenkill. Here are some observations from the past few months:
The Good: I am proud to announce that after taking part in written and oral interviews, I received the endorsement of the Rensselaer County Women for Change (RCW4C). RCW4C is a grass- roots organization that is growing and reaching an increasing number of citizens. Their endorsement will help me bolster my candidacy and further my efforts to bring better government to the residents of Rensselaer County.
The Bad: The “bad” is that campaigns, even local campaigns, cost money. One of the least expensive ways to get the word out about my campaign, my mission and my goals is the use of social media. I have created a Facebook page, but I need more followers! If you would take a minute to visit my page, and then share it with your friends, family, and neighbors, I would appreciate it. The Ugly: I have also been attending the monthly meetings of the Rensselaer County Legislature – and encourage everyone to do the same. The actions of the Republicans in this chamber can only be described as “ugly.” From blocking a resolution condemning Trump’s pardon of the January 6 rioters, to refusing to help the neighbors along the busy Route 7 commercial corridor in Brunswick, to seriously considering allocating $5 million of our hard-earned taxpayer dollars on a pickleball court (yes, $5,000,000!), these elected representatives are out of touch with the real needs of Rensselaer County’s residents. UGLY is the word!
